Radoil provides full control of reel functions
both thru Radoil Rotary Valves mounted directly on the end of the reel as shown
here with 8 valves on the right side of this photograph and thru multiple line
stab plates as shown on the left of this photograph.
The Radoil
Swivel at the center of the photograph provides for 4 lines of hydraulic control
for “live” control (as the reel is turning) in combination with the 8 Radoil
Rotary Valves. When the BOP Stack lands on the ocean floor, the 65 function
stab plate is engaged and provides for control of numerous BOP functions.
