Radoil’s Reels are capable of handling up to 13,500 feet of umbilical or hydraulic hose. There are several patented features available on all our reels that allow safe and reliable deployment of various hose types. Our Constant Tension (CT-2) system controls the motor and slip clutches to maintain a constant tension on the hose whether the reel is full or near empty. Our Power Brake Assist (PBA) system reduces the brake response time and allows better control of the brakes at lower supply air pressures. Our “Slip Clutch” system allows the spool to turn, under a pre-set drag, even if the brake is locked, protecting the hose from damage in the event of unexpected riser movement. Our “Banana Curve” allows the level-wind fleet angle to be adjusted within a 110° range allowing hose deployment from the vertical position to just below the horizontal position. Radoil reels are built and tested to be very sturdy and durable. Upon customer request our reels can be operated locally, from a remote control panel or both. Our control panels can be configured to operate as many reels from one station as the customer desires. Spare parts kits are available so our reels can be readily maintained in the field.
