Radoil has a number of very beneficial Riser handling products. Our Riser Centralizer allows the riser to be recovered in currents that would normally make running riser very difficult or impossible. It can be designed and modified to fit your specific drilling rig requirements and dimensions. It is usable on any deepwater drilling vessel but provides the greatest benefit on moored vessels. The Riser Centralizer contains a large number of rollers that encircle the riser and hold it in the proper position, to neutralize the effects of the current forces, then the riser can be handled at the rotary table without damaging either the riser or the rotary table.

Our Full Time Riser Fairings are designed to reduce the forces caused by the water currents against the riser and are most beneficial in the upper 1,000 ft. of water column where the forces are the strongest. They can be installed or retrieved at any time because they are installed around the riser and not attached to the riser. They are installed using an independent winch and chain system so they do not take rig-time to run and they are easily stored below the moon pool deck eliminating the need to use valuable deck space. They can also be used after drilling is completed on each Steel Cantenary Riser (SCR) system reducing the current forces against the stress joints.
