The pipeline spear was
designed to recover the cut end of a steel pipeline from the ocean floor. It is
guided into the end of the pipeline by an ROV, and then the ROV actuates the
slips by moving the u-shaped handle down.
At that time a cable
attached to the padeye on the rear (left hand side of the picture) recovers the
pipeline. Units can be made in any size to fit your pipeline.
